Orora’s Ellie King, wins accolade in PKN Women in Packaging Awards 2024

Orora Glass Cullet Plant Manager, Ellie King, from Orora’s Gawler Glass Beneficiation Plant, has won the Manufacturing Leader Award at the 2024 PKN Women in Packaging Awards.

Ellie took out the top prize for her incredible work managing the operations of our glass beneficiation plant and for her leadership in raising awareness of recycling standards across the industry.

The PKN Women in Packaging Awards celebrate leadership excellence in the Australian packaging industry. This well-deserved recognition is testament to Ellie’s hard work and dedication over the past few years.

The Manufacturing Leader Award recognises women who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and excellence in Australian packaging manufacturing. It honours achievements such as optimising production processes, improving quality control, enhancing efficiency, and fostering a culture of innovation and safety.

It’s fantastic to win and be acknowledged – I’m a little bit bashful about it to be honest. It really reflects the work the whole team does at Gawler across the entire site and I’m proud to be able to represent them.
