Orora donates cans to help raise awareness for mental health

Orora Beverage is delighted to be supporting a special mental health initiative being led by Archer Brewing in Brisbane, Queensland.

For the past three years, Archer Brewing has produced a special beer called the BNE IPA (Bright New England IPA), which is brewed as a collaboration between Brisbane independent brewers and aims to capture Brisbane spirit. This year, for the first time, 100% of the proceeds of the BNE IPA will be given to a local charity. This year 22 breweries have signed up and Orora is proud to support this worthy cause through the donation of the cans to the supporting brewers.

The chosen charity is LIVIN, a Gold Coast mental health education charity that promotes the messages ‘it ain't weak, to speak’ and ‘if in doubt, reach out.’ They focus on supporting those with mental illnesses, while raising awareness and working to break the stigma around mental health.

It's important to remember that mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety can happen to anyone. There’s no shame in suffering from a mental health condition and there is no shame in seeking support and help.

So, as LIVIN says: ‘if in doubt, reach out.’
